About
Scott D. Lipscomb is currently Associate Professor & Division Head of Music Education and Music Therapy in the University of Minnesota School of Music. His primary areas of research interest include integration of technology in the music classroom, the facilitation of music learning through technology integration, music integration across the K-12 curriculum, interactive instructional media development, sound for multimedia, web site design, and multimedia cognition. He has presented results of his research at regional, national, and international conferences and his work has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals and edited volumes. In addition to his research in the field of music cognition, he is also co-author of Rock and Roll: Its History and Stylistic Development (Prentice-Hall). Scott serves as President of ATMI, Treasurer for the Society for Music Perception & Cognition, Chair of the Research Committee for TI:ME, and Chair for the Perception and Cognition special interest group for MENC.
