About
Robert Mayfield Yawson graduated from the University of Ghana with the BSc degree in Biochemistry with Chemistry and the Master of Philosophy in Biochemistry in 1992 and 1997 respectively. He also holds the Postgraduate Certificate in Food Management from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, in 2001 and an MS in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute, University of Minnesota, 2009. Robert is currently a Doctoral Student in Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development at the University of Minnesota and Senior Research Fellow with the Headwaters Group, USA. For eight years prior to attending the University of Minnesota, he was the Scientific Secretary and later Head of Administration of the Food Research Institute, Ghana. He has also been involved in several multilateral and bilateral sponsored projects in Africa.
Robert M. Yawson recently co-authored the Food Industry and Animal Health White Papers and Vision 2025 Documents for the State of Minnesota while working as a Research Analyst for the BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota. Robert has several other academic publications including 13 peer-reviewed journal publications and 10 edited conference papers.
